Our Earth Day celebration is a festival-like gathering of vendors and exhibitors with a focus on sustainability, ecology, and nature. It’s a fun-filled day for the whole family with activities for kids, food and beverage trucks, and representation from the region’s most environmentally conscious organizations.
Reforest Northern Kentucky is an annual, all-volunteer project organized by Northern Kentucky Urban Community Forestry Council (NKUCFC) to restore native Kentucky woodlands. The reforestation project is responsible for planting thousands of tree seedlings on public, protected, and previously-mowed properties in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties.
Come join the Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy’s Artist in Residence, Elizabeth Ross, for a fun morning of printmaking! A donation of $15 for FTFC members and $20 for non-members is required and all proceeds benefit the Harlan Hubbard Studio and Nature Preserve.

Monarch waystations are patches of habitat that provide resources for monarchs to produce successive generations and sustain their migration. Join FTFC board members Nan Genther and Sidney Thomas, and they will help you to create the perfect environments for monarch butterflies to visit your gardens. Appropriate for all ages.
Experience the joy, mindfulness and relaxation that coloring provides in a lovely setting. Coloring sheets will be provide for both adults and children as well as colored pencils, sharpeners and clipboards. Bring your chair and perhaps a snack and beverage, and spend minutes or hours absorbing the peaceful setting of Harlan’s studio and surrounds with us.

Learn the tools to identify local trees and shrubs or just sharpen your ID skills. Learn interesting information about edible and medicinal uses as well! This walk is appropriate for all levels. We will be looking at multiple features such as twigs and twig arrangement, bark, buds, leaves, flowers, fruit/cones/seeds, form, etc. We will also stop to identify some interesting wildflowers we find along the way!

The Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Fort Thomas, is pleased to host an evening with Dr. Julian Campbell, respected botanist and conservationist residing in Lexington, KY.
The Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy along with the city of Fort Thomas hosts Northern Kentucky's largest Earth Day event. Join us along with Northern Kentucky Beekeepers, Fort Thomas Tree Commission (sapling give a way), Springcreek Farm, Home Depot (bird feeder kits) to name a few. We will also have sales vendors, food and beer trucks, and free entertainment. There will be many activities for children and environmental education for all. Please bring your old electronics and other items that are not accepted buy Rumpke recycling. We will have the proper people to recycle.

The FTFC is thrilled to introduce Cincinnati painter Brad Davis, our first Artist in Residence. In the past year, Brad has created a body of work with inspiration from Harlan Hubbard. Brad's work reflects his interest in the natural world and whose art meditates on humanity's participation in nature. You have the opportunity to meet the artist, view his work, and purchase his original art. Proceeds will be split between the artist, Behringer-Crawford Museum and the continued efforts in preserving the Harlan Hubbard Studio and Nature Preserve.
